Founded by Jean-Baptiste Meura in Tournai, Belgium, the company has been at the forefront of brewing technologies for nearly two centuries with famous development such as the mash filter, Aflosjet, Meura2001, Meurabrew, Meurastream, Carbomill,... .

A member of the French Boccard family group since 1998, the company is recognised for its brewing technology expertise, worldwide.

In 1891 Meuraintroduced the first prototype mash filter. Only 10 years later Meuraintroduced the mash filter in the brewing world.

Now, withthe Meura2001 hybrid, this technology is present in the global brewing industrylike never before!

Today,about 550 Meura2001 have been sold worldwide and 25% of the global beer volumeis produced in a brewhouse equipped with a Meura2001! Remarkable figures for atechnology that has been industrialised only since 1989!

Withreduced steam use and hot water excess in mind, Meura has developed a newconcept, called the“Meurastream”. 

The Meurastream reducesthe thermal energy of a brewhouse by 52% without energy recovery and 35% for abrewhouse with pfaduko! Excess hot water is reduced by 60%! These figures meanthat the MeuraStream is probably the most energy- efficient brewhouse conceptavailable on the market. The concept can be easily implemented in an existingbrewhouse!
